Written on Thursday 2nd August 2012

Leading Irish Piling Contractor, P J Edwards, who has been operating since 1972, has recently opened its first UK office base, in Milton Keynes.

P J Edwards started piling activities in the late 1980s and since then has successfully delivered projects employing all of its geotechnical systems. In 2012 however, it was recognised that the on-going growth of the UK operation demanded a dedicated business unit, P J Edwards & Co (UK) Ltd.

High profile contracts are already being carried out across the UK, including the Second River Forth Crossing in Scotland, the Olympic Park and Crossrail in London.

The company operates in all sectors of the piling market - commercial, industrial, residential and infrastructure (road, rail, airports, power, gas and chemical installations).

Speaking about the new UK operation Martin Kenwright, Managing Director of P J Edwards & Co (UK) Ltd, said "The success of such a new business venture requires a highly motivated and experienced team, who are passionate about geotechnical engineering. These criteria are met in abundance by our new management team who, between them, boast over 100 years experience in specialist piling and civil engineering activities".

Martin continued "We are engineers who are passionate about geotechnical engineering and its successful delivery for our clients. We are therefore confident that this passion, coupled with our total commitment to our clients, will ensure that the new operation will be a great success".
